Growing up outside of Charlotte in the small town of Albemarle, Leslie is proud of her North Carolina roots. She received her BS in Business Administration from Meredith Colleague with a concentration in Economics.
Realizing her interest in real estate, Leslie got her start in 1985 after moving to Smithfield with her husband, Barry. She sold homes there until the birth of her first child.
The Hales purchased a second home on Figure Eight Island in 1992. The lure of the ocean was so strong they made Wilmington their permanent home in 1997. Barry and Leslie put down roots in Landfall where they raised their three children.
An active member of the community, Leslie has been involved with numerous philanthropic causes. She has served on the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation's Gala committee for many years. Her efforts there led her to chair the Pink Ribbon Committee in 2008. Leslie has also served at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice, working with the Festival of Flowers.
In her spare time, Leslie can be found reading, working out, and traveling. An avid gardener, Leslie enjoys flower arranging and home decorating.
Now that her children Woody (27), Caroline (25), and Miller (23) have made her and Barry empty nesters, Leslie has returned to real estate and is thrilled to be a part of the Intracoastal Realty team. She is passionate about houses and would love to help you find the perfect place to call home.
